disney villains 
maleficent is my favorite disney villain. she debuted in walt disney's 16th animated movie "sleeping beauty" (1959). scorned by not being invited to princess aurora's presentation party, she cursed the baby princess to die on her 16th birthday. however, when this day arrived the princess, now under the assumed name of briar rose escaped the curse with some help from the fairies, merryweather, flora and fauna. oh, and of course, from true love's kiss from her prince. and in the end, maleficent was defeated, but not before turning herself into a magnificent dragon.
